Are you applying for the BTWEA Back to Work Enterprise Allowance?
BTWEA in Ireland
Have you a great new idea for a business in Ireland? Are you a Small Business or Sole Trader in the process of applying for the BTWEA?
The Back to Work Enterprise Allowance is a Governmental scheme to assist people in Ireland to get back into Self-Employment. It is issued to people seeking JSA or JSB for a minimum of 12 months and includes short training courses in Bookkeeping and Starting Your Own Business.
There is plenty of advice on offer and if successful, applicants get to keep their Jobseekers’ payments for 12 months then a large proportion for their 2nd year, giving them a “safety net” to encourage them to grow their business, knowing there is a steady stream of income as they begin their journey.
There is also BTWEA grant funding available currently of €2,500 for start-up costs which can be used towards Bookkeeping Software like the Mind My Business app. You get to claim 80% back so effectively our complete business management tool would cost successful applicants just €4 per month instead of the usual €19.99. Just €4 a month for the peace of mind of knowing where you stand in terms of their business at any time, automated invoicing, easily prepared VAT returns and RTD and much, much more.
If you are using the BTWEA or planning to, our advice is to forget about using a shoe box full of receipts that fade to blank and start off the way you mean to go on. The smart way. Sign up for our Cloud based smart bookkeeping app and ensure to claim back 80% when you do.
